How We Vet Every AI Automation Expert on FlowVetted

Most directories list anyone who signs up. We don’t.

Every consultant and agency on FlowVetted goes through a manual review before they’re allowed to publish a profile — and before they can carry the Verified badge. Here’s exactly what that review looks like.

Why We Vet at All

Hiring an AI automation partner is not a small decision. It usually means giving someone access to your workflows, your customer data, or your internal systems. A wrong hire costs weeks of rework, not just a bad review.

Most directories solve this with volume — list everyone, let reviews sort it out later. We think that’s backwards for a category this new. There aren’t enough reviews yet to separate real operators from people who added “AI automation” to their LinkedIn headline last month.

So we check first. Reviews come after.

What We Check Before Approving a Provider

1. Verifiable Track Record

We look for at least one of the following before a provider is approved:

  • A live case study with a named client (or anonymized with specific,
checkable details — tools used, problem solved, rough outcome)
  • A portfolio of shipped automations, agents, or workflows we can
    independently review
  • Public work: open-source contributions, published workflows on
platforms like n8n’s template library, or technical writing that
    demonstrates real hands-on experience

Claims without any of the above don’t pass. “10+ years of AI experience”
with no evidence attached is not enough.

2. Tool and Platform Depth

For category-specific listings (n8n, Make, Zapier, LangChain, OpenClaw, Hermes), we confirm actual working depth with that specific tool — not just general automation experience relabeled. A provider claiming n8n expertise should be able to point to real n8n workflows they’ve built, not just familiarity with the concept of automation.

3. Business Legitimacy

  • Active, reachable business or professional presence (website,
LinkedIn, or equivalent — not just a form submission)
  • Consistent identity across the profile and any linked case studies
  • For agencies: a real team, not a single freelancer listed as a company

4. Communication Quality

We do a short intro exchange with every applicant before approval. This isn’t a technical interview — it’s a basic check that the person who’ll be talking to your business communicates clearly and responds in a reasonable timeframe. Slow, vague, or evasive responses during this stage are a signal we take seriously.

What Gets a Listing Rejected

  • No verifiable evidence of real project work
  • Listings that appear to be resold or white-labeled without disclosure
  • Pricing or claims that contradict information we can independently check
  • Unresponsive during the verification exchange
  • Categories claimed without demonstrable depth (e.g., listing under
“LangChain developer” with no LangChain-specific work to show)

The Verified Badge

Providers who pass every step above receive the Verified badge on their profile. This isn’t a paid feature — it can’t be purchased, and it doesn’t expire on a subscription. It stays as long as the profile information remains accurate.

Featured placement (the highlighted position at the top of category pages) is a separate, paid option. It affects visibility, not the
Verified badge. A provider can be Verified without being Featured, but never Featured without being Verified.

After Listing: Ongoing Accuracy

Verification happens once, up front — we don’t continuously audit active projects, and we can’t guarantee outcomes. What we do guarantee is that every provider passed a real review before appearing on the site, not an automated sign-up form.

If you work with a provider found through FlowVetted and something doesn’t match what’s on their profile, let us know
we investigate every report and remove listings that no longer meet our criteria.

For Providers: How to Apply

If you run an AI automation practice and want to be considered, the process takes about 5–10 minutes to submit and typically 2–3
business days to review.

Apply to Be Listed

No cost to apply. No cost for a standard Verified listing. Featured placement is optional and available after your profile is approved.
